Can (4/30/24) pour from The Beer Store, Salem. Cloudy, milky yellow with light sparkle, thin head with fair retention and no lacing. Aroma is strong tropical fruit and candied citrus. Taste follows aroma along with bready background malt. Smooth, fairly thick texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. One of the better reflections of Riwaka I've had in a while. Especially good strength of aroma/flavor for a pale ale.

Park Street Pub and Tavern draught 8/10/24. Heavily hazy, bright flaxen-golden-maize. Small, dense, white head. Brightly-juicy nose with citrus and tropical fruits, rich, honey-like malts. Clean, without resin or pine or alcohol. Malty and rich with juicy, well-expressed hops showing round citrus and flavorful tropical fruits. Really comforting malts here, on the richer, maybe more moderately sweet side. But the fresh hops are juicy, amply bitter and balancing. Beer is clean and incredibly flavorful and well-done. Kettlehead just always seems to get better and better (and is always much better on draught).

Can from The Beer Store, Salem. Hazy yellow w/nice sparkle, thin head w/good retention, trace lacing. Aroma is tart fruit, coconut, coriander, wheat, late pineapple rind. Taste is strong coconut, coriander, wheat, late pineapple. Smooth, thick, soft carb. Good but would have been excellent with discernible banana.

Can, 0.473l. Aroma of citrus, mango, pine and resin. Pours hazy pale golden color with large soapy off-white head, nice lacing and sparkling appearance. Taste starts juicy overripe tropical fruity and resinous, following is herbal with a touch of a melon, mouthfeel is smooth, while finish is average bitter. Medium body, slick texture and average carbonation in palate. Pulp or no pulp, that is a question…

Pours deep, hazy gold into a tulip. Bright white head with good retention recedes leaving scant sheets. Perfumy peach, apricot and guava aromas. Thick with sweet apricot, peppery mango and hot vanilla front to back. Medium length tart kumquat, hot tangerine and mocha finish. All over the place.
