12 ounce can into pint glass, canned on 12/14/2017. Pours slightly hazy nearly opaque dark brown color with a 1-2 finger dense khaki head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of peanut butter, milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, caramel, brown sugar, toasted dark/brown bread, light coffee/herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness. Okay aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malt and peanut butter notes; with solid strength. Weird metallic/phenolic/plasticy notes in the aromas, a little overwhelming. Taste of peanut butter, milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, caramel, brown sugar, toasted dark/brown bread, light coffee/herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness. Light herbal hop and roast bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of peanut butter, milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, caramel, brown sugar, toasted dark/brown bread, light coffee/herbal, and roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Weird metallic/phenolic/plasticy notes after the finish in flavors; but not overwhelming. Nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt and peanut butter flavors; with a nice roasted bitter/sweet balance; and zero cloying/acrid flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/bready, and slightly sticky/chalky mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 5.4%. Overall this is a pretty good flavored English porter style. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt and peanut butter flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mildly bitter/drying finish. There is obviously something wrong here, but I still enjoyed it. Worth giving another shot on a future batch. A nicely enjoyable offering.

On tap at Hopcat A2. Pours black with a grayish brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma is full of peanut butter with some sweet dark grains and a touch of roasted malts underlying. Flavor has lots of peanut butter with some sweet dark grains and some dry roast in the finish.
