I looked to the back of my refrigerator and what do I see. An old shandy I didn't know I had looking back at me. I was scared to try it at first. Then I drink it. It was great. No, floaties or anything. Dark brown in color with just light bubbles and a skim of a head. Aroma is all chocolate cherry. Taste is also all chocolate cherry.

A 16 oz can found at a shady convenience store In Louisville during our BT holiday early this month. Bagging the can in the 21st century way, no glass involved in this tasting. Green apple not high on my list of potential flavors for a malt liquor, no matter, I’m still having a taste. Here goes. I think it is similar to a Jolly Rancher green apple candy and pardon me if there’s maybe 5 other raters that know what I’m talking about. Sweet, of course, and a small metallic tang that is not attractive. There are worse in the style but not a big number of them.

Bottle. Looks like apple juice. Taste is like a cross of apple juice and cheap white wine. Aroma is weak apple juice.

Bottle. Hazy yellow color with not much head. Taste is very lemony and sweet. Not bad for a shandy. Aroma is lemonade.

Nice. Juicy red/green apples/fruit skin and cinnamon sticks. Semidry/semicrisp carb. Slight sticky spice drying. Mild increasing warmth/spice heat. Refreshingly drinkable. Like a shot of fireball in cheap cider, but not really a bad thing. I liked it.

16 ounce can from what does it matter? Clear golden, large fizzy off-white head. Poor retention. Aroma of cinnamon candy and a bit of sweet apple. The taste is sweet apples, mild tartness, and spicy cinnamon candy in the finish. Thin bodied, lingering sweetness. Less terrible than I expected.
