Description
Dat jongensdromen soms werkelijkheid worden, blijkt uit de realisatie van Brouwerij de Beyerd. Hiermee herstelt De Beyerd in 2004 een stukje verloren Bredase traditie. Waar in 1628 aan de Boschstraat brouwerij ‘De Drie Hoefijzers’ werd opgericht, is een kleine 400 jaar later het brouwers-ambacht terug in de straat. ‘Drie Hoefijzers Klassiek’ is dan ook het eerste bier dat hier volgens origineel recept gebrouwen wordt. Naast het Drie Hoefijzers brouwt de Beyerd ook verschillende bieren volgens eigen recept.

De koperen brouwketels en open gistkuipen geven zowel de brouwerij als het hiermee verbonden restaurant een bijzonder nostalgische sfeer. Achter de brouwzaal ligt de lagerkelder die aanzienlijk moderner aandoet.

Draught @ De Beyerd. Clear golden color, medium sized thick dense head that lasts for a decent while and leaves fair lacing. Aroma is malts, slightly grains, hayish hops. Taste malts, hay, slightly grains underneath the main flavors, decent bitterness. Quite dry finish, average body, medium carbonation.

Bottle sampled at Gouda Winterbier Festival. Cloudy brown, small tan. Aroma of fruit, caramel, yeast, raisins. Flavour is over moderate sweet and moderate bitter. Medium bodied with light carbonation.

Sampled @ PWBF Gouda 2014. Bottle. Clear autumn dark orange to red color, small to medium sized beige head. Smell and taste malts, some spices or herbs, lightly sweet, lightly some alcohol. Average to medium body and carbonation.

Cloudy brown colour. Aroma has light roasted malt and some cocoa. Flavour is quite sweet with some caramel and a touch of cocoa and some yeast. Quite light and easy to drink.

Hazy brown colour. Bit of metal in the aroma. Caramel and dark malts are present in the aroma and taste. Quite smooth.

Also sold under the moniker of Willembier for the event of the coronation on 30-04-2013. - Hazy orange colour. Aroma and flavour have light citrus. Taste is moderately bitter. Carbonation is quite high. Finish is watery. A good thirst quencher.

Quite a bright yellow colour with a bit of haze. The flavour is quite bready, yeasty and has a fresh citrus finish. The alcohol is barely detectable and carbonation low to medium making this surprisingly (and dangerously) easy to drink.

Dark brown, almost black colour, beige head. Aroma of malts, roasted malts and toast. Quite soft. Malty flavour, light sweet, light roasted malts bitterness. Light coffee / chocolate. Light body, malty and roasted finish.
Enjoyable and well made Schwartzbier.

Hazy dark brown colour, dissipating white head. Roasted malt aroma, caramel and light dark ripe fruits. Sweet caramel flavour, sweet malts, overripe fruits. Finish caramel and light roasted malts.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours hazy dark brown with a small, creamy and tan head. Aroma is roasted dark malty and light caramelish. Sweet, caramelish and mild overripe fruity note. Smooth caramelish, roasted and mild sweetness. Mild phenolic and caramelish finish.
