Bottle from Julio’s. Looks like a Coors Light in my pint glass, sizable retention from a vigorous pour. Nose smells much like a Macro lager. Thank god it tastes much better. Wheat malt and a touch of orange peel is there in the finish. The mouthfeel is lively from the carbonation. Not nearly as good as the the pervious lager I just sampled from Jacks. This is ok for somebody who likes light beers or is just starting in craft beer.

1 pint 0.9oz. Purchased at Julio’s Liquors.  Used a pint and it does look like a normal lager. However, that is where the comparisons end. The nose is bursting with citrus hops with noticeable pilsner malt. Taste follows suit. This is exactly as advertised. Low bitterness that you could easily drink very large amounts of. In the world of lagers, this is high class.

Draft. Hazy amber orange color, massive off white head. Aroma of ginger, obviously. Taste is bitter straw and roots, sour citrus. Interesting. Couldn’t drink a lot of this one, though.

Cask@GBBF2012. Yellowish amber colour, small white head. Aroma is fruity, floral, wooden, sugary, sweet malty along with some nectary notes. Flavour is fruity, floral, grassy and earthy. Not as aggressive in the flavour as the aroma was.

Thanks RadarSock. Enjoyed in a Tulip. at room temp.

A - Dark red to brown in appearance. Light head.

S - Lots of german malts, german yeast and a slight wheat scent. Very chewy smell if that even makes sense. Not big just chewy.

T - Up front burnt sugars. Middle is this very bland boring like multi-grain bread sort of taste. Finish is bitter and sweet. Some cloves and other spices.

M - 20% carbonation on the mouth swish. Medium body. Very drinkable but still chewy.

O - Meh.

Cask at Great British Beer Festival 2012, Olympia, London. A golden coloured pour with a medium off white head on top. Hoppy, citrus, pine aroma. Tastes similar, hoppy, citrus, grapefruit, refreshing and tasty.

500mL bottle, split several ways, pours a clear pale yellow with a white head. Aroma is full of piney hops, some resin and lots of grainy malts - very inviting nose. Flavour of grainy malt, lager yeast and very pungent piney hops. Long lingering hoppy finish, though in a clearly lager way. Very well-made and highly drinkable.

Pours a slightly hazy straw color with a smallish off white head that quickly dissipates to a cap. Smells of bready pilsner a spicy wheat malt. Spicy lemony aroma with a hint of grass. The taste is malty and grainy with spice from the wheat and the spices. Lemony and honey sweetness. Light body with a moderate level of carbonation and a sweet grainy mouthfeel. Nice clean well made lager with a twist. Nice to try but for me lacks that wow factor.

Pours a solid dark brown with a huge creamy off white head that persists forever. Smells of bread and chocolate mostly with a hint of smoke and coffee. The flavor has little bit more roast and coffee than I expected. Huge notes of chocolate and caramel in each sip with a light smoky essence in the background. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a sweet slick mouthfeel. Very flavorful, smooth easy drinking dark lager. Its nice that they didn’t go overboard with the smoked malt like everyone seems to be doing these days.
