Bottle at Chriso tasting, thanks Chris, 18/11/12. Dark mahogony brown with a thin tan head that clears to the edge and leaves a small film atop the glass. Nose is coffee forward, big coffee bean hit, roast malts, espresso coffee. Tastes follows the nose but the flavours are a little thinner. Coffee predominates, toffee, roast malts. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, roasted finish.

Bottle at Chriso Tasting, London. Thanks to Chris for more MA beer. Pours clear brown with a small, beige cream head. Filter coffee nose. Light to medium sweet flavor with earth, moderate coffee, light roast, some chalky chocolate. Light to medium bodied with average, creamy carbonation. Moderately sweet finish with toasted dark sugars, some bitter coffee. Great balance. Another strong showing from Jack.

Bottle at Chriso tasting, London. Thanks to Chriso himself! Pours clear yellow with a strong, frothy white head - lovely! Very fresh and hoppy on the nose, lots of piss and lemon. Medium sweet flavor with pale and bready malts, grass, lime. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Modest warmth to finish with sticky pine, light pee and melon. Very solid beer. I love what Jack is up to.

Thanks Matt for sharing this tonight! Pours a slightly hazy medium golden color with a wisp of a white head that never really materializes, but never really leaves either. Yup that is a smokey aroma. It smells like a cross between a day old campfire and old bacon with a hint of melanoid and pilsner malt. The flavor is a hint of sweet up front with some grainy and sweet pilsner malt able to come forward before an onslaught of smokey meaty goodness. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a slick smokey sweet mouthfeel. This is a bit over the top for my taste, but I can appreciate the greatness here. This is a really nice smoked beer with a lot of complexity even if this is not my favorite style.

Pours pale gold into a Sam glass. White conglomerate head with excellent retention recedes leaving trailing spiders. Caramel and smoked bacon aromas. Medium bodied with smoked meat, sweet toffee and a lasting campfire finish. Nice

GBBF. Light haze on this amber beer. Few white bubbles for a head. Light dry palate. Fine carbonation. Good grassy - minty hops with green hops sting and nice tangerine - orange citrus underneath. Grassy finish which is dry and crisp. Another very good and fresh cask IPA from the US - salute BSF!
