(Bottle 33 cl) Beautiful, clear, dark amber with a creamy, off-white head leving a pretty lacework. Fat, hoppy aroma. Good, solid body with plenty of sweet caramel malt and a ton of warming alcohol. Light, hoppy finish. Not bad but far from thrilling. 030106

(Bottle 66 cl) Clear, fully golden with a handsome, white head. Very clean, malty aroma and a nice, full body. Very dominated by malt with a distinct alcohol. The strength makes this a rather atypical Dortmunder/Helles - comes closer to a European Strong Lager, but is more sophisticated though. Thanks to Steen for sharing. 311205

Bottled vintage 2005 (tappat den 26.10.2005)
Dark ruby color, small creamy off-white head, some lace. Nose has cinnamon, honey and English flowery hops. Medium-bodied, berry-like flavor, sweetish in the beginning with cinnamon, finish brings hops. Hints of licorice in the aftertaste. Quite Christmasy and interesting.

(On tap) Cloudy golden with a creamy, white head. Malty nose. Incredibly malty sweet - almost candy like. Almost no bitterness. Jens calls this a fusion beer, and brewed with a portion of wheat and no filtering I believe that is close to the point. 281005
