At EBF 2008.Pitch black colour with medium beige head.Aroma of portwine,chocolate and dark berries rosted and warming mouthfeels nice strong alc and good heavy finish.

Jet-black beer with some beige bubbles. Fruity, bill- or blueberries, on alcohol and vanilla. Powerful nose. Chocolate, alcohol, some fusels, and again a lot of fruitiness.Very slick, velvety texture, alcoholwarming. AHA. Mike, stick to the big ’uns. You’re good at it.

From tap. Pours clear and golden orange with a fully gone head. Light fruity hops aroma. Mild citrusy and fresh fruity flavoured. Mild bitter finish. Nice and simple, yet quite tasty and refreshing - great session beer.

Draught Lacy white rings, but little head, over clear orange beer. Light hops, sulphury ones, and a point of sweet malts in the nose. Sweet (!), caramelly and hops strangely absent in the taste. Long malty finish, and again lots of CO², modifying even the taste. Light to medium bodied, slick. Aftertaste is finally bitter, short of really hoppy. People, easy on the carbondioxide on dispense, please. And maybe some extra Mittelfrüh...

From tap. Pours clear and golden orange with a fully gone head. Fresh and light hoppy aroma. Mild cornish and light malty with a vague caramel malt presence. Smooth and hoppy dry finish. Nice one.

bottle,75cl corked LABEL SAID 5.2% . tasted way more like 5.2% than 8.3% smokey aroma, also some fruit (apple) smells gread, could be a little stronger. unclear orange, lots of bubbles, large thick offwhite head. if you like smoked beer, you will like this one. smoke dominates, not that strong, but it dominates, is well balanced by sweet and fruity flavors. aftertaste is mostly smoked, but still the sweetness (vanilla? fruits) lingers in the background. soft and smooth.

(Can 50 cl) Courtesy of yespr. Pours a clear pale golden with no head. Sweetish, sugary aroma - pop-like. Medium body - extremely sticky and sugary without any distinct apple or pear appearance. 310808
