aroma : caramel, malt, banana. good aroma. appears brown with large light brown thick head. strong flavor, initial impresion is way more than 7%, then other flavors kick in, raisins, caramel, malt, brown sugar, then a little roasted something, end with some bitterness. reminds me of belgian beer somehow even if it is not at all. Overall a good tasty beer than you can take your time to enjoy.

Bottle at Chris o’s…deep black,light roast malt,nice roast malts little spirit, prob but too much. little chocolate but bourbon dominates even though its mellow

bbf 2009.01.30 66cl bottle. aroma sort of weizen but faint and not very fresh. besides citrus and alc there is some dust or cardboard. cloudy golden (bit boring), very nice thick offwhite head. sweet, slightly citrussy, alcoholic flavor. reminds me of other danish macro breweries interpretation of weissbier(not good). without regard to style, the beer is refreshing and quite nice. its just that those germans are darn good at this type of beer.

Aroma is moderate to light heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, coffee, wood - oak, peat, red wine notes. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. (6/29/08) Bottle sample at RBESG08 grand tasting in Plzen. Muddy light brown. Aroma of yeast, spices and hints of citrus. Sweetish flavor with some yeast, fruits and some spiciness. Medium-bodied.

(6/29/08) Bottle sample at RBESG08 grand tasting in Plzen. Black with a brown head. Aroma of some cocoa and espresso and some dark fruit notes. Sweetish flavor with burnt malt and quite a lot of espresso. Quite full-bodied.

Bottled. Pitch black colour, small brown head. Aroma is sweet riped fruits, some roasted malts, alcohol and mild notes of vanilla. Flavour is sweey riped dark fruits, raisins, roasted malts. A nice balance but a bit too sweet. Might mellow up a bit if aged.
