Bottle. Spicy nose (heather and nutmeg). Cloudy amber, golden lacing head. Fairly spicy - especially the nutmeg dominates quite a bit. Minerally, salty notes. Medium body. Herbal aftertaste. Unusual...

Bottle (11/12) courtesy of Papsoe (thanks!), shared with ozujsko. My first APA. And I recognized it as such before I knew it was set as one here. Hmm... Poured a nice orange colour, with a medium-big fluffy white head and lively carbonation. The nose is malt, green apples, lime, and some yeast. Nice. A pleasant, if maybe too subdued and one dimenstional taste. Lime, herbal hops, yes, somewhat "piney", with a bitter hoppy aftertaste, a touch of caramel. Amarillo dominates, obviously, but is never even close to being harsh or aggresive. The beer could’ve, however, used a better malty backbone. A lack of one can really be felt, and the beer got boring soon enough.
