3 oz draft pour at Adroit Theory. Black with light tan head. Aromas of pine, floral notes, citrus. Tastes of fresh grapefruit and citrus fruit, pine, floral notes. Medium body with a dry finish. Pretty good, not as roasty as some black IPAs and brings out the citrus a bit more.

3 oz draft pour at Adroit Theory on Black Friday, so I guess you could say I drank Thanksgiving leftovers. Black with light tan head. Straight up stuffing on the aroma, some light pencil shavings, smoked/dried herbs. Tastes of herbs, stuffing, dark chocolate. Medium body with a dry finish. Weirdly good gimmick beer.

Draft at the brewery. Poured a medium-ruby red color with a small off-white head. Aroma was sweet malts, almost light maple character. Booze. Flavor was sweet malt, light maple sweetness. Alcohol is certainly there, but there’s no harsh burn on it, so I’ll give them that. There is a light tobacco finish to it.

Draft pour at the brewery. Poured a dark brown, almost black color with a light tan head. Aroma is light hop bitterness, touch of pine. Malt roast is more prominent, but it is pretty clean and drinkable. Some pine, citrus character shines. Alcohol is pretty well masked here. Love the name.

Draft at the brewery. Poured a murky yellow-orange color. Kind of a dirty look that wasn’t entirely appetizing. Aroma is just okay, some light tropical notes. Flavor was where this one was at with nice pineapple, guava note. Incredibly juicy character that was delicious. Like many Adroit beers, the abv gets in the way. A lighter beer with these same tropical fruit notes would be pretty amazing.

Draft pour at the brewery, pre-Thanksgiving "meal" I suppose. Poured a dark brown color, with a small off-white head. I want to hate this beer. I really do. I mean, gimmick/10 here. A beer that is brewed to be like Thanksgiving stuffing? Yuck. However.... stuffing is one of my favorite foods. And you know what? This smells exactly like a stout with stuffing in it. Not gross. Delicious. It also tastes like all that savory stuff that is in stuffing - the sage and oregano really are highlighted here. That bready note is too. I probably wouldn’t drink more than a full pour at one time, once in a while (maybe every year?). Normally I’d just give something so over-the-top a lower score to spite it, but damn, this thing *was* stuffing.
