Draft at the source. Poured a golden yellow color with a medium sized white head. Aroma was potpourri and a touch of soap. Flavor was very interesting, I’d even go as far to say tasty - but it reminded me a bit of drinking lavender. Like seriously. I’d probably check this one out again if I was given the chance.

From notes, consumed 6/29/2013. The gimmick is that they apparently used beer instead of water. 375 ml bottle poured into a snifter. Black with two fingers of tan head. Aromas of lactose, caramel, vanilla, roast, coffee. Tastes of caramel, vanilla, lactose, dark chocolate, coffee, light roast. Medium body with a semi-dry and slightly warm finish.

12.7 oz bottle poured into a snifter. Hazy copper/ruby with almost a finger of off-white head. Aromas of brandy, red wine, oak, some booze, grapes. Tastes of brandy, oak, caramel, a bit of red wine, grapes, booze. Medium body with a dry and warm finish. Low carbonation, slightly sticky/syrupy mouthfeel. A bit hot but I do enjoy it a bit more than the base beer.
