[33cl can from Sainsburyโ€™s, Bracknell.] A glossy deep cola brown pour with a ring of beige head; breast aroma; a trace of licorice and aniseed in the mouth with a sweet body and a fruity bitterness; then a breast finish. Very drinkable.

330ml can ordered online from Hoptimism and drunk at home. Dark, almost brownish gold, clear with a fizzy ring of off-white head. Malty, yeasty aroma with dried grass, orange oil and some white pepper. Sweet taste with a spicy farmhouse yeast character, and notes of tangerine peel and tannic tea. Finishes considerably drier. Heavy carbonation. One of those beers that wasn't quite what I expected, but it certainly grows on me.

Can on 2nd December 2020; received as gift in Beer52 Advent Calendar: Day 2. Pours coppery amber with shallow off-white foam and scant lacing. Rich and intense tropical fruits on caramel malt in aroma. Burst of juicy tropical fruits and zesty citruses in-mouth on biscuit malt. Orange and grapefruit peel dominate the finish. Full bodied with an engaging texture. Superb.

Very dark brown beer, really clear. Light malty aroma. Taste is malty too, a little hop, just a touch of sweetness. Quite a basic flavour but clean and tasty and nicely balanced.
