Hazy orange, big frothy head. Juicy aroma of mango and grapefruit. Moderately juicy with orange notes offset partly with additions of oats and wheat to make a smooth and slightly heavier body than you get with some session IPAs. A very mild bitterness in the finish. Its ok, pleasant, but lakes a bit of flavour for this style.

Keg at BD Clerkenwell. Sweet fruity malty aroma. Dark cola brown. Frothy beige head just forms a ring. Sour edged sweet berries. Some coffee light bitterness appears into the finish. Light bodied. Slick if thin. Flat carbonation. Dry astringent finish. Doesn't so much for me. It's there, yeah. Just didn't do it for me.

Black beer, off white head. Rich aroma of anise, molasses, dried fruit. Flavour has the dried fruit with the anise up front, a little chocolate, toasty malt, some toffee in the background. Lovely, rich stout.

Can from Honest Brew. Pours cloudy deep-gold, white head which leaves a little lacing. Aroma of grass, malt, tangerine, grapefruit. Juicy fruits come through, quite sweet, with a reasonable malt background. Moderate body and soft carbonation. A dry bitterness is evident at the end which lasts but not convinced the balance is quite right in the finish. The malt does not take a 'back seat' as per the description, particularly in terms of an American IPA. Flawed but still decent.

Creamy tan head stayed on a black still body. Malt, iron & burnt aroma. Full bodied, soft on the front with a tingle on the back. Malt, coal, tar, roasted, tobacco & dark spirit tastes with a light smoky finish. Excellent!
