Bottle 750ml.Clear medium orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted - caramel, wood, spicy honey, moderate yeasty, overriped fruit. Flavor is moderate to lgiht light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, sharp bitter, sweet honey, yeasty. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. IMO the wood - oak just made the beer strange !! [20101022]

Bottle 330ml. @ home.ABV. 5.0%. Clear initial sparkling, medium yellow color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, moderate yeasty, soap, lime, fruity citrus, coriander. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average duration, lime, yeast, fruity citrus, dry, rubber notes. Body is medium to light, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. (Draught at Café Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 1 Aug 2010) Amber colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, malty nose with notes of peaches, apricots, treacle, caramel and gooseberries. Malty fruity taste with caramel, orange, gooseberries, treacle and cidery hints of apples. Full body, sweet with alcohol shining through in a rather spicy finish. Slightly unrefined and fairly brutal but still in some way quite charming. Very nice in moderate amounts.
