Perhaps the most beautiful and remote brewery in the Netherlands!
Traditionally brewed beer as it has been made for hundreds of years.
Bierbrouwerij De Pauw is not a modern beer factory full of measuring and control technology, but an old-fashioned brewery. The only tools are a watch, thermometer and scales. All Pauw beers are top-fermented, unfiltered, unpasteurised and with secondary fermentation in the bottle. We brew various types of special beer in an artisanal way, mostly according to Belgian recipes.

Bottle [thanks to bierkoning] @ weekly tasting shared with Dutchdrebus and Joes. A bit unclear orange color, small pinkish head that diminishes quite quickly. Smell and taste indeed have raspberry, so that is quite well done. Pretty sweet as well. Body is average, carbonation is lively and a bit fizzy.

Bottle [thanks to bierkoning] @ weekly tasting shared with Dutchdrebus and Joes. Gusher! Opaque murky reddish color, huge pinkish head that diminishes instantly. Aroma is sweetness and sweet red fruit. Taste has a lot of red fruit and some sweetness. In fact the taste isn’t that bad, but it gushed like hell.

Bottled@HBF2014. Amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is raisins, sweetness and mild alcohol along with some toffee. Flavour is raisins, resin, fruits and some wooden notes with quite strong berryish notes. Quite interesting and refreshing beer. My given score is a bit low, but this was a goodie still.

Bottle thanks to bierkoning shared with Dutchdrebus and Joes @ weekly tasting. Gusher! Hazy yellow color with some yeast residu floating in it. Fizzy white head. Smell and taste lightly malts, indeed some honey, a bit yeasty. The fizzy carbonation gets in the way of the flavors. Not sure that’s a bad thing in this case though. In the end I’d say it’s decent enough, but I wouldn’t recommend it.
