Perhaps the most beautiful and remote brewery in the Netherlands!
Traditionally brewed beer as it has been made for hundreds of years.
Bierbrouwerij De Pauw is not a modern beer factory full of measuring and control technology, but an old-fashioned brewery. The only tools are a watch, thermometer and scales. All Pauw beers are top-fermented, unfiltered, unpasteurised and with secondary fermentation in the bottle. We brew various types of special beer in an artisanal way, mostly according to Belgian recipes.

Bottle [thanks to bierkoning] @ home. Slightly unlcear orange-golden color, small off-white head that leaves fair lacing. Aroma and taste are malts, sweetish, slightly sweet malts, some herbs or spices. A herbal sweet-bitter finish. Average to medium body and carbonation. -- After pouring for the second time a lot of yeast residu came with it, so when you open this try pouring it all in one go and don’t fully empty it unless you like bit yeasty lumps floating in your beer.

Bottle [from trade with Bierkoning] @ home. Clear pale golden color, average sized fizzy white head that diminishes quickly. Aroma and taste are not what I would expect in a Belgian White. To me it’s more like a pilsener. The appearance also is more a pilsener rather than a Belgian White. In the end it’s not a bad beer, at least it’s drinkable and not offensive. But if this was really intended as a Belgian White I’d say the brewer should try again ’cause this is not it.

Dunkelmalzige Kräuternoten, vollmundig. Nur geringfügig süß, dunkel bleibend, die harmonischen Kräuternoten steigern sich. Deutlich würzig, balanciert, niemals ist der Alkoholgehalt erkennbar. 11/12/12/11/8/12
