Perhaps the most beautiful and remote brewery in the Netherlands!
Traditionally brewed beer as it has been made for hundreds of years.
Bierbrouwerij De Pauw is not a modern beer factory full of measuring and control technology, but an old-fashioned brewery. The only tools are a watch, thermometer and scales. All Pauw beers are top-fermented, unfiltered, unpasteurised and with secondary fermentation in the bottle. We brew various types of special beer in an artisanal way, mostly according to Belgian recipes.

Courtesy of bierkoning, ty Edo! Hazy pale yellow, small white head. Citrusy fruity aroma with hints of coriander, no honey found. Fizzy carbonation. Medium-bodied. Citrusy flavor, refreshing. It has some honey in the flavor, but it is not dominating at all. Not complex, but pretty ok.

Bottled. Golden colour, mediumsized white head, which disappears quite fast. Aroma is fruity, earthy and some mild rubberyness. Flavour is honey, citrus, some breadyness and grassy hops also. Honey and hoppy bitterness in the aftertaste. Quite nice.

Courtesy of bierkoning, ty Edo! Hazy pale yellow color, small white head. Very strong orange-orange peel aroma, also some coriander. Very different than earlier ratings here: refreshing witbier with fruity orange-peel and herbal coriander flavors. There is maybe a bit too much coriander - making mouthfeel kind of plastic. Although good summer drink.

Bottled. Hazy yellow colour, small white head. Aroma is sweet and fresh citrusfruits, very zesty, along with wheat and some mild spicing. Flavour is very much the same, with the spicing coming in quite strongly. Almost being peppery. Some slight notes of sourness too. Very refreshing and pleasant. Not at all like the other ratings of this beer.... have they gotten their "issues" sorted out?

Bottle, 5%. BB November 06, 9 months ago. Bad plastic aroma. Cloudy orange colour, sparkling. Frothy, very unstable white head. Plastic flavour with a sour grainy aftertaste. This is so plasticky, I cannot believe it was ever drinkable.

Bottle (thanks to bierkoning !) Hazy, yellowish coloured, medium-sized foam; heavy citrus-fruity aroma, supported by a big touch of coriander and yeast; sweetish (wheaty) flavour, medium bodied; citrus-fruit and mmuch of coriander in the finish, that makes the beer taste like cellulose thinner.......Ugh !

(bottle, from bierkoning) Hazy and pale golden heavily effervescent hue with a mid-sized foamy and stable white head. Very fruity (citrus, orange rind) and dense spicy aroma with an unpleasant artificial/medicine-like note. Dry and yeasty taste which is overpowered by this very unpleasant medicinic, plastic note, that “lingers” also in the aftertaste. Almost undrinkable.

Fully hazy yellow; white head fast gone. Nose: a touch of mint in a sea of coriander. Disgusting taste, pure coriander boil. God! Slick, slibbery in the oral cavity, like drinking frogspawn. Can they pull off such abomination?

Extremely cloudy pale yellow color, medium white head. Aroma of citrus, orange, yeast, some banana, some spices like coriander. Thick body, sweet taste, citrus, yeast. I would say, leave the yeast in the bottle.

A friend of mine brought this beer from the East of Holland. Cloudy golden color, short white head, extremely lively head. Aroma of hop, quite yeasty, bit spicy. Taste is quite unbalanced, yeasty, very bitter. Bit sticky palate. Obvious microbrew.
