Amber light spicy maltiness. Bit of fruitiness there too.
Quite bitter. Sharp hoppiness. Not my favourite
Nice stuff. Smooth and creamy, hint of soy sauce umami to it too.

Nice stuff. Easy drinking, scotch style Carmel sweetness. Bit of hoppy bitterness these too.

Bottle from KBL. Piny, resiny hop nose with caramel malts and some citrus. Old school all the way. Dark amber-brown, hazy, with a lacy head. Very resiny, piny hops. Nice. Kind of nostalgic. Caramel, malt biscuits, bit of orange. Finish is a little too astringent. Crisp and cleaen though.

Shiokaze Kahawia Ale Brown IPA 7.1% Deep mahogany brown with little foam and a fruity hop bouquet with pepper, biscuit and sweet malty caramel. Medium to full bodied, starts off fruity, goes caramel biscuits then ends bitter and balanced. Good stuff that matched this cloudy day.

Shiokaze Runner’s High IPA 6.1% Reddish orange with a thick head of foam and a piney floral citrus aroma. Quite full bodied and bitter it reminded me of old skool IPAs I got back in the day like Rogue. Solid.

Rainy rather than foggy but close enough... Shiokaze Foggy Michigan IPA 6.4% Matte copper with an off-white head and a floral hoppy aroma. The taste is bitter pine, sweet malty caramel, mild fruit (mostly grapes). This is a clean old school IPA.

Came home, cooked and cracked a cold one. Looks like red ales are in season as WCB just released one too. Shiokaze Norwegian Red Ale 4% Traditional Red Ale Ruddy mahogany brown with a thick creamy tan head that lingers a long time. Fruity aroma, quite full bodied with a jammy strawberry flavor that surprised me. It has a slightly raspy carbonation and a sharp finish. For just 4% it’s really flavorful. Good stuff.

Malty brown bread. Light citrus hops. Not bad.
