Kerstbier Festival. Very dark brown beer with a beige lacing. Aroma of caramelized dark malt, dark fruits, yeast. Taste of mid sweet and spicy dark caramelized malt, red fruits.

Slow gushing to thick, dense off-white head over amber-golden beer. Bit mineral nose, seawater, wood, chocolate, leafy. Bitter with bittersweet caramel, lightly scorched, again leafy and malty. Bit sticky feel, overcarbonated, medium bodied, light alcoholwarming. Amateuristic. Txs to Stef!

My 33 cl bottle was acquired from Belgian Happiness, my access to things brewed in Belgium. I am a long time in between sampling any brew from the continent so I have the Teku arrayed for this beer. The pour is a dark gold, darker than expected with a frothy, active head of snow white bubbles. The nose is a curious mix of dark fruit and yellow fruit along with a yeasty background. The taste is likewise difficult to pin down. There is apricots, malt, yeast, a vinous effect, white bread and some sourness. Little of the bourbon barrel that I can detect, unfortunately. I can appreciate different but not what I hoped for.
