Description
With a foundation in homebrewing in 1992, Paul Kavulak set about to experiment within a hobby that would prove both entertaining and, at times, refreshing. Over a period of roughly 13 years, and with the able assistance of his wife Kim, this activity led to the opening of the Nebraska Brewing Company’s brewpub in Shadow Lake Towne Center in Papillion, Nebraska, on November 17, 2007. A new production brewery and taproom were opened in January of 2014. Located on the south side of the Omaha Metro, but still a large part of the Omaha Craft Beer scene.

Can: Banana pudding aroma, overripe bananas and nilla wafers, slightly shitty. Hazy golden, medium head. Banana and lemon flavor, finishes with pound cake. Light body, soft carbonation. Quite a nice American hefeweizen that actually tastes like a hefeweizen. No cloves, but wonderful combination of fruity esters and bread.

12 oz can pour. Again, love the can designs by these guys. Pours a medium copper color with a really nice, sweet caramel malt aroma. Delicious, medium bodied pale ale with a nice balance of sweet malt and hops. Yet another solid beer from these guys. Good stuff.

Can. A- Dirty diapers, spices, malty, nutmeg, cloves, cinnamon. A- Orange color, clear liquid, minimal head. T- Spices, pumpkin, cloves, coriander, cinnamon, malty, nutmeg, slightly sweet. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, spiced finish. O- The smell is a little funky but it gives you the idea of what you are about to imbibe. The taste is that of a pumpkin spice bread. Tons and tons of spices, primarily cinnamon and nutmeg. Also some pumpkin flavors, naturally. This was good overall, but wasn’t anything I would run for again.

Bottle. A- Malty, slightly nutty, subtle caramel. A- Dark mahogany color, clear liquid, beige head. T- Malty, caramel, slightly nutty, toasty, toffee. P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, smooth finish. O- It’s a Brown Ale. Brown Ales are never really anything exciting. This pretty much fits the mold. Fairly bland and lots of malts.

Bottle shared at Dave's Bachelor Party, 9/27/14. Thanks to whoever shared this.
I enjoyed this beer quite a bit. The fruity flavors and the barrel aging worked extremely well together. I found the aroma to be the standout component. Really quite an excellent brew.

12 oz can pour. Pours a penny copper color with a patchy head. Wet caramel malt aroma. By the way, I love what they are doing with the can designs. Cool stuff. Medium body bitter malt flavors with some really nice floral hops towards the finish. Solid IPA. Definitely going to continue looking into these guys. Good beer.

12 oz can pour. Pours a cloudy pineapple juice color with a super banana aroma. Really nice banana flavor with a hint of spice, then a quick transition to a sweet finish. This is a delicious beer. Solid hefe.
