Bottle, RBESG 2005 Grand Tasting (courtesy of the brewery). Clear golden colour. Tolerable hops aroma, hints of elderflowers. Also some strange hints of ammonium cleaning fluid in the background. Flavour is kind of lagerlike. I probably drank it too warm, though. Fairly dry mouthfeel. A drinkable beer, but no masterpiece this one.

Bottle, RBESG 2005, Grand Tasting (courtesy of the brewery). Brown colour. Yeasty, nutty, caramel and toffee aroma with hints of white pepper and ammonium in the background. Flavour is nutty with moderate hops, quite nice, a bit thin mouthfeel though.

A hazy orange beer with a thin white head. The aroma contains notes of straw and some caramel. The flavor is primarily of straw from some weird hop sort, which gives it a dry end.

A red-brown beer with a disappearing off-white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel and slightly roasted. The flavor contains notes of caramel and straw, and leads to a dry end. The body is nice for a Brown Ale, compared to some of the watery British examples. Thanks Sigmund for bringing this seldom beer to RBESG.

Pale golden, small white head. Nose has lemon, grass and hints of diacetyl. Light-bodied. Flavor of cutted grass. Easy to drink and watery.

Nut brown, small tanned head. Chocolaty roasted nose. Thin chocolaty. A bit hoppyness, otherwise watery with metallic aftertaste.

Darkish brown in colour, smallish lacy head. Aroma is mostly malts. Taste is surprisingly light, mostly malts again, but with a slightly roast background. Very similar to the Nøgne Ø brown ale. Overall, a nicely drinkable and pleasant beer, if perhaps not too exciting. Probably a good way to introduce non-beer-geeks to quality beer.

Golden colour, smallish, lacy head. Lovely aroma of what appears to be American hops. Taste is much like the aroma, but with an added crisp taste of malts. Reminds me of a lighter version of Goose Island IPA. The overall impression is very nice indeed. Also very drinkable, so you can safely buy lots of this.
