On tap at Patrick’s. It pours a murky brown body and a creamy, two-finger light beige head. Curtains. The aroma has caramel and a faint roasted touch in the back, with piney, citrus peel like notes. Some yeasty hints. The flavor has a significant bitterness, with roasted malts and caramel. Full body, pleasant carbonation. Lasting mostly bitter finish, with some roasted malts. Lasting finish. Doesn’t look too good this one, but it’s nice and easy drinkable anyway. 131109

Draught @ Patricks Pub og Restaurant, Kristiansand Pours murky brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, citrus, grape and hint of yeast. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter with a long citrus fruity finish. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.

Draught @ Christianssand Brygghus, Kristiansand Pours slightly hazy brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, slightly roastiness, caramel, chocolate and floral hops. Taste is medium sweet and medium bitter with a long caramel, chocolate and slightly warm finish. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

On tap at the brewpub. It pours a lightly hazy body, brown in color and with a small, dense, beige head leaving some curtains. It’s roasted on the nose, with unspecified dark dried fruits, pine cones and some bonfire hints. Toffee too. It’s quite bitter in the mouth, with a pleasant sweetness. Toffee, dried fruits and roasted flavors too. It’s full-bodied, pleasantly carbonated and with some faint alcohol warmth. Lasting roasted finish with a nice balance between sweetness and bitterness. It’s not the beer that gives me that perfect Christmas feeling, but it’s sure a nice beer. Faintly metallic too in the end, almost undetectable, but mostly overpowered by the bitterness. 131109

On tap @ the brewpub. Cloudy orange body with a creamy off-white head. Fine aroma of citric fruit, pine and some caramel malt. Flavor is sweet malty, hint of caramel, fine balanced bitterness and nice citric fruit with a hint of zest. Medium body and bitter aftertaste. Another fine IPA from CB.

On tap at the brewpub. It’s a hazy, orange colored beer with a dense finger thick off-white head leaving curtains. Fruity, piney aroma hiding most of the malts, but not all. Quite a lot of aroma. There’s some sweetness in the flavor, but it’s the bitterness and citrus peel that run the show. Pine cones too. Full body, pleasant carbonation, quite dry. Lasting finish with a good bitterness. A pleasant IPA, well worth drinking again. 131029
