Description
It Doesn't Taste Like It Came From An Out House ...

The name came from friends in Massachusetts. Because our house was so far away from everyone we were named the Out.Haus. When I started labeling my homebrew, that was the name I decided to use.

I quit my full-time job on Friday, January 13, 2012 to focus all of my time and energy in creating a commercial brewery. After looking at various locations and out-buildings on the property I finally decided to convert part of the garage to the brewery.

Bottle from Bert’s Hazy deep straw color with a decent sized white head. Sweet honey like maltiness with peppery spice to counter. The flavor is sweet almost too sweet for a saison and not enough citrus or tart or earth or funk to balance. Decent enough brew but could be better.

650 ml bottle purchased at Tuckaway Tavern and Butcher Shop for $8.99. Dirty brown color with thin white head. Aroma of caramel, malted wheat, and weak raisin. Flavor is light on caramel, plum, raisin, and a sharp astringent after taste. Thin body and the pungent after taste really hurts the overall feel of this brew. To think I paid $9.00 for some bad home brew. If I wanted to drink a beer like this I would have brewed it myself. I feel like an idiot.

22oz bottle-trade with radarsock. Gusher. Three of us ran for our glasses as this thing did not stop till the bottle was almost half empty. between us, we shared all we wanted and the bottle was about half empty. Poured a too big foamy tan head-murky dk amber. A-sour med/dk malt-chocolate. T-sour med/dk malt, some vegetal, astringent. If the brewery would humor me, I would be up for trying this again when I am back to NH in April.

Bottle from Bert’s Pours a fairly clear deep golden that borders on amber with a huge bubbly frothy off white head that dissipates slowly. Aromas of sweet sugary caramel maltiness with a fair amount of grassy grainy earthy pine hop aroma. The flavor is malty sweet with a firm hop bitterness.Herbal earthy pine hop flavors with a lingering hop bit at the end of each sip. Faint yeasty phenols. Medium body with a spirited level of carbonation. Decent brew seems a bit one dimensional though.

What a terrible name for a brewery. Bottle shared by Bob. Full bodied stout. Moderately well roasted and what I perceived as sweet lactose. Good palate.

22 oz. bottle purchased at Beveridge, Wolfboro, NH. Clear yellow color, no head. Low carbonation. Aroma is tart rhubarb and malted wheat.

Flavor is tart rhubarb with pale malts and a chewy body. The flavor is balanced between tart and sweet. It does have a slight off chemical flavor but not real distracting. Decent summer brew with low ABV.
