As Port Brewing Reunion '09

Aroma: Spice, clove, Belgian yeast, citrus, and banana
Appearance: Cloudy yellow color with a white head
Flavor: Taste somewhat sweet, lots of spice, wheaty, some bubblegum, citrus, and banana
Palate: Light-medium body, mild alcohol burn
Overall Impression: They called this an imperial wheat ale, and I'm in for that, so I ordered one up. This was a pretty solid beer. Less then 10 raters of this beer, I wasn't expecting that. Anyway, it was pretty good, I think Imperial Wheat is a style that I'd like to see more breweries attempt.

On tap at Pizza Port San Clemente. Listed as Pizza Port Reunion 09 Double Wheat Ale. I am assuming this is the same beer as Reunion is a charity contract brew. Pours with a hazy yellow body and a small white head. Aroma of orange, lemon, herbal notes and clove. Taste is much the same with spices, bubblegum yeast, and citrus. Medium to lovely carbonation. Pretty good for the Reunion beer series.

On tap at the Session Ale Fest at Pizza Port. Pours with a rocky white head over a hazed yellow body. Aroma is herbaceous with grassy hops and wheat. Taste is bitter with wheat notes, and european hops. Good. Fizzy and dry. Similar, but dryer and smaller than Three Floyds Gumballhead.
