Bottle @ Papsø. Fairly clear, reddish brown appearance with a light brown head. Richly syrupy, raisin, dark fruity, rich toffee aroma. Well carbonated. Rich, dark toffee, brown sugar, plum, raisin, a bit nutty flavor. Delicious stuff and smooth with little note of booze.

75cl Bottle @ Carlsens Kvarter, Odense. Pours dark unclear amber with a creamy head and lacings. Vinous and rich nose. Dark fruit, brown sugar, caramel and chocolate. Quite complex. Flavor is a bit boozy. Alcohol is a tad too upfront. But overall very nice - in a way it reminds me of a good dark trappist. Smooth and full bodied.

Bottle 750ml. [ As the Ørbæk edition ].Clear dark brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, caramel, burnt malt, butter, brown sugar. Flavour is moderate to light heavy sweet and light moderate bitter with a long duration, spicy, dark malt, wood - tobacco, sweet sugar - brown sugar. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120331] 7-3-7-3-13 Bottle 330ml. [ As Munkebo Alstærk Strong Scotch Ale ].Clear medium amber color with a small average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, chocolate, caramel, earthy, light nutty. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, sweet malt, light chocolate malt, nutty notes. Bottle 75 cl. Pours a dark brown with an orange hue and an off-white head. Sweet burned caramel in the nose, toffee and some booze. Very solid and rich body, roast, nuts, caramel with a whiff of smoke. The finish is a bit boozy with the alcohol not so well integrated. But a man’s beer indeed! 020412

Bottle @ FOneFan. Very dark brown/ruby with small light brown head. Aroma is light roasted malts, dark fruits and chocolate. Flavour is malts, dried malts, medium sweet, light roasted malts, berries, candy, caramel and a little bitter.

75 cL bottle. Pours hazy dark brown with a deep amber glare and a small tan head. Aroma is toasted malty and light butterish. Toasted malty and light breadish flavoured. Bitter and dry. Toasted malty and smooth roasted.

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Almost black with a light brown head. Aroma is sweet, chocolate, caramel and dark sugar. Flavor is quite sweet and ratther bitter. Dry and rather bitter finish. 310312
