Draught at AIBA 2005. (Masthead’s closed, but brewing now taken over elsewhere. The beer was served at Gunn Islands’s stand, but Y & J’s association with CUB makes me suspect it might be brewed at Matilda Bay now. Cloudy golden. Estery raspberry aroma, some banana. Medium sweet with clean mouthfeel and salty finish. Solid.

Maybe some honey, but overall flavourless. Not the Beez Neez by any stretch.

Bright orangey-amber; malty, confectionary aroma; a fair bit of alcohol taste off the top, slight brandyish notes, hint of caramel. Though not as hoppy as a Polish mocne, it is reminiscent of other European strong lagers or Upper Canada Rebellion Lager.

Hazy tan, thin body, lacking hops, vague maltiness, finishes quickly........
