500mL bottle, pours jet black with a small tan head. Nose is ridiculous, with an insane amount of black licorice -- wow, that's totally insane. Flavour is no less insane, with harsh black licorice, an umami character, harsh bitterness, and intense alcohol. Extremely boozy; the barrels aren't decipherable beneath that totally insane licorice. Ridiculous stuff. That's too harsh and one-dimensional, especially for a non-licorice-lover. Bleh -- that is tough to drink.

Dark brown, with a thick head. On the nose, that's big liquorice, and that's the same on the aroma, Tastes like paan, but like chocolate paan. Some barrel here, some chocolate, lots of alcohol. Like aging an imperial stout in some raw fucking raki barrel. Ok, that's definitely polarizing. I mean, it's hilarious.

16 ounce can from Uptown. Pours a clear yellow hue with a medium white head. A mild grassy lemon...and I have no idea why, but I get some coffee, nose. Sweet, super clean, toast, citrus, lemons. Very smooth. Light mango. Nice!
