First ratingInitial Rating Date: 2/7/2008Draught at The Rover, Göteborg.Very dark brown to black color, medium size tan head. When served cold it smells a bit roasted and a bit metallic. When not so cool still quite subtle scent, more to roasted than metallic though. Roasted and hoppy taste, coffee aftertaste. Some citrus and pine. Also a bit sweet in both taste and aftertaste. Medium to smooth mouthfeel. Medium to medium high bitterness.7/4/8/4/16=3.9RerateCask at 3 Små Rum, Göteborg.On October 18, 2008Beautiful clear deep dark red color, tan head. Dry roasted scent. Draught at Bishop’s Arms, Malmö
Amber color; creamy head. Aroma of yeast, hop and caramel, dry and dusty. Medium body, with a strong flavor of caramel, dry, with some dark chocolate too. Ordinary.

Draught @ Bishops Arms, Malmö. Pours a hazy orange color with longlasting off-white head. Has a malty hoppy aroma with some citrus hints. Sweet malty and hoppy flavor with some hints of grapefruit. Has also some weak hints of yeast. Fruity hoppy finish with some bitterness in the aftertaste.

200ml draught at Bishops Arms, Vasagatan, Stockholm. Foggy, amber body colour. Thin white ring around the rim of the glass. Zesty orange-hoppy smell. Nice display of late sweet oranges in flavour supported by dry, progressive bitterness at the end. Taste stronger than it is (25.01.2008).

(Draught at MacKinlay’s Inn, Stockholm, 26 Jan 2008) Golden colour with brief, white head. Malty, grassy nose with toffee and some hints of citrus. Malty, slightly nutty taste with toffee and a grassy, slightly citrussy, hop character in the finish. Some malt sweetness lingers in the background throughout. Leaning in the czech direction rather than the german. Quite tasty.

Draught at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Clear amber. Buttery with notes of lingonberries. Medium bodied and medium sweet with dense, rounded mouthfeel. Caramelly malt with some syrup, hay and lingonberries. Medium bitterness.

Draught at MacKinlay’s Inn, Stockholm. Clear golden, mid-sized head. Fruity and somewhat plastic. Medium sweet with rounded, solid mouthfeel. Short, slightly burnt malt flavour with some soapiness. Medium bitterness. Some butter shows up as it warms. More full bodied, less dry and less crisp than I’d like my pilsners.

Copper brown color, small creamy beige head. Creamy, honey flowery hops in the nose. Soft mouthfeel. Piney hoppy flavor. Very British, clean IPA. Long bitter aftertaste.
