(Draught at Bishop’s Arms, Vasagatan, Stockholm, 12 Dec 2007) Ruby red colour with brief, beige head. Fruity, malty nose with dark fruit, wild berries and black-currant. Malty taste with notes of dark fruit, black-currant, raspberries, slightly smokey hints and fresh hops in the finish. Medium body, balanced sweetness. Another nice beer from this new brewery.

Draught at Bishop’s Arms, Malmö
Hazy golden color with a generous creamy head. The aroma shows initially good hops, but then turns into white sugar floss. Medium body, with a strong flavor of dry toffee and a strong bitterness, but not much aromatic hop; surprise-surprise there is a light trace of yeast too. Strong ending bitterness. Not convincing.

Hazy amber color. It has a very nice hop aroma, a bit fruity, and some caramel. The mouthfeel is drier than I would like, dry caramel flavor, a bit dusty, but this is expected from Ocean.
2007-12-13, cask conditioned at Bishop’s Arms, Malmö, 6-3-7-3-13=32
Dark brown color with ruby shades. The aroma, initially fresh, turns into some simple caramel. Easily drinkable, with a down-to-earth caramel flavor, light chocolate and toffee, medium body strenght, quite strong ending bitterness, with roasted malt too. Plain.

Draught at Bishop’s Arms Vasagatan, Stockholm. Clear dark ruby, small head. Fruity nose with dried plums. rather sweet with rounded dense mouthfeel. Roasty and solidly maltySoem hay-like hops stay in the background. Good late bitterness. Well balanced and well made. Quite warming and in fact quite delicious.

Cask at Stockholm Beer Festival 2007
Black color. Mild roasted malt aroma, and light yeast. Quite round mouthfeel, good mix of roasted malt and chocolate malt, light liquorice, traces of yeast; very light sourness. Balanced.

Dark amber color; almost no head. Mild aroma of toffee, hops; light rosehips, citrus fruits, very light earthy touch. Caramel flavor, soft mouthfeel because of the low carbonation, getting a bit astringent to the end, and metallic. Medium-strong bitterness, the hops are a bit resiny. Pleasant, the aroma is nice, the flavor is more common.

Clean dark amber color. Quite strong yeasty aroma (baking yeast). The body is a bit thin, caramel flavor, the final is even a bit astringent. The final is short.

Also roasted with a faint touch of alcohol. Rather fresh aftertaste with roasted tones in it. Hoppy and fruity scent, also some alcohol. Some toffee as well. Smooth mouthfeel, medium high bitterness. Sweet, yet dry and herbal, fairly bitter taste with a crisp, clean, herbal, mineral, bitter finish. Some bready notes and hints of cream too. Medium full moussy light co2 mouthfeel. Medium high herbal bitterness. Sweet and fruity scent.When served this cool almost felt like a dark lager or at least bottom fermeneted. When warmed up quite a bit the fruity notes got more potent though. I spoke with the brewer a bit this evening and the beer had fermented at 21 C, and was brwed with a top fermented yeast.Very drinkable, very nice, though for a Christmas beer I personally want some spices, but hey, I’m like that...7/4/7/3/14Rerate50 cl bottle at Haket, Göteborg. Cask @ Bishops Arms, Malmö. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Roasted malty chocolate aroma. Sweet roasted malty flavor with lots of chocolate and some hints of coffee. Sweet roasted malty finish.

Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm. Deep amber. Spicy English style hop aroma. Sweet with rounded malt underneath a blanket of spicy, mustardy hops. Resiny finish with long bitterness The mouthfeel may be a bit syrupy, but otherwise it’s a really good, hoppy English style cask ale.

Cask @ Bishops Arms, Malmö. Pours a dark amber reddish color with a msall off-white head. Sweet malty and fruity caramel aroma. Thin malty fruity hoppy flavor with some hints of caramel. Sweet malty watery finish with some hoppy hints.
