Appearance: opaque deep brown to black, small tan head that stays as a ring. Aroma: rich, complex. Forest berry jam, roast and chocolate, brandy, oak tannins, coffee, prunes. Taste: medium sweet, roast and chocolate, berry jam, brandy, oak, coffee, molasses, prunes, some hop. Light ending bitterness. Mouth feel: full body, soft to average carbonation. Overall: excellent.

Appearance: opaque deep brown with a moderate off-white head of decent retention. Aroma: complex, delivering lots malt and fruit nuances. A hint of oak. Taste: light to medium sweet. Toast, caramel, lovely fruit esters, bread, nrandy, oak, some hop. Low to light bitterness. Mouth feel: medium to full body, average carbonation. Summary: pretty delicious but confusingly unlike any black IPA.

Appearance: Opaque tomato juice colour, no head, just lots of buzzing bubbles upon and thick tomato flesh pieces leaving laces on the glass. Aroma: Tomato paste, smoked, salt, tabasco, basil, other herbs. Taste: Intense salted tomato paste, smoked, basil, tabasco and quite an amount of hot chipotle at ending. Mouth feel: Very thick and full, smoothie-like. Average carbonation. Summary: Very respectable. Nice bouquet. I would prefer it a bit less burning still great effort.

Tap. Dark brown, cloudy, creamy foam. Aroma: bourbon, oak, vanilla, toffee, like barrel aged barleywine, plum jam, coconut, sweetness, exotic herbs, lime peel, caramel, very cool. Taste: caramel and toffee, marmalade, vanilla, bourbon, wood, coconut, even a little white chocolate, yeasts and HBC 472 worked so exotic!
