Bottle. Pours a dark brown with small tan head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is bourbon, wood, licorice, cocoa, roast. Slick body, dark chocolate, licorice, roast, wood, boozy finish, very nice.

Can from Livonia Liquor. Pours a thick and viscous pitch black with a finger of brown head that dissipates. Big vanilla focused nose with dark chocolate and coffee aromas. Some toffee, fig and molasses as it warms. Smooth and chewy on the palate with loads of dark chocolate brownie alongside a touch of vanilla and coffee. Drying finish with good bitterness to balance out. No pastry here, this is an impy for the adults in the room.

Bottle shared by ClarkVV. Aroma is char, chocolate, molasses and roast. The booze is a bit heavy. But not ridiculously so. Hard to find maple. Still overall, pretty good IMHO.

Bottle pour shared by Clark VV from Twelve Percent--thanks! It's an opaque, inky black with no head or lacing. Aroma is strong bourbon, charred oak, roasted malt. Taste is strong earthy malt, charred wood barrel with late bourbon and milder maple. Mouthfeel is medium-to-full bodied with thick, sticky texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, strong flavors but maple is conspicuously almost absent.

500mL bottle drunk 5/28/22. Unclear ebony. Heavy burgundy edges. No head. Strong barrel character leaving red wine, dark chocolate, prune, raspberry and a fair amount of somewhat sharp alcohol. Hmm, this is pretty good damned boozey. Strong bourbon, red wine, molasses and vanilla with a syrupy texture and moderate to heavy sweetness with decent attenuation. Phew. This one is brutally strong and bourbon forward with some amazing flavors but just so boozey. Sharp. Too sweet.

Thanks Clark aroma is bourbon and hint of maple. Taste is delicious, ABV is not hidden with nice lacing and a great finish. Great attention to detail should hold for more months.
