Not actually more of a piney hop note. Light hop, mod bitterness, light malt. Ok, but misses the style and is just ok for ipa.

Dark colour, near black. Bready malts, it has a nice mouthfeel, not too dry, with dark bread, rye, some dark chocolate, light dark malt acidity, and a light fruity touch.
Nice.

Cloudy blond colour. Soft base, what or oats, flour-y, not too dry, with delicate fruit jam touch, hardly strawberry.
Beer for the non beer drinker.

Draught at the brewery
Murky blond colour. Light acidity, light citrus peel, no Saison character. It ends up being a drinkable beer without being a Saison.

Draught at the brewery
Hazy and golden, so not like the usual murky blond. The hop character is moderate, lightly piney, the malt base is crisp, not the (rather lame tbh) chalky base; some citrus peel.
Rather than a Hazy IPA, this is a decent andd mild West Coast Pale Ale; nothing wrong with that, but just to point out that it didn't hit the mark.

I wonder if this one is the same as the Smahing Baby. Cloudy to murky golden colour, creamy head. The malt base is very bready, the hop is piney, strong resins, strong bitterness. Restrained for an IPA and a bit stale, but not bad.

5.1
Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 5 | Flavor - 5 | Texture - 4 | Overall - 5.5

Draught at the brewery
Light amber colour, dull, hazy to cloudy, with creamy head. It smells a bit stale, it tastes like Earl Grey tea, a bit grainy, light residual sweetness, mild piney and herbaceous hops.
A stale beer that is really not expected in 2019. It's not offensive, but undesired.

Draught at the brewery
Amber colour, clean to hazy; it has a nice malt base, a bit husky, bringing back memories of Pale Ales, was that just few years ago? The world is changing, but this dry and crisp malt Pale Ale is still a classic; mild piney hops.
Nice.

Draught at House of Funk, North Vancouver
Murky light red colour. Strong berry character, strong lactic flavour, touch of residual sugar, and a bit of baked goods in the background.
Good smoothie sour (or berry cheesecake).

Huge fruit skins on the nose, has modest foam on a vague pinkish brown body. Flavour is heavy juice, big tartness, some tin. Mouthfeel is okay but there's this cloying tinny citrus aftertaste. It's not awful but certainly overbearing.
