330ml bottle [A big thanks to Maddie for coaxing this bottle out of Lenny himself!]. Mahogany colour with ruby glimmer and average to huge, thick, creamy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, beige head. Toasty, caramel malty aroma, a touch of burnt caramel and treacle, liquorice, weak hoppy overtones with a touch of red berries. Taste is toasty dark malty, hints of caramel, burnt caramel, liquorice, a nuttily touch, bitter hoppy overtones; full body, oily texture, slightly sticky palate, lasting bitter finish. Not bad.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Max’s place. Thanks Vova. Deep amber. Aroma of malt, caramel, some fruitiness, a bit of alcohol. Sweet flavor, caramelly, with some fruitiness, a bit of alcohol and a bitterish note. Medium-bodied. A dull beer - no chocolate, no cherries, no Porter.

09-08-16 / 330ml bottle. Pours a nice dark dark brown colour with a perfect white-brown head. In the nose you get a lot of roasty aromas along with some coffee, chocolate and hints of cherry. For its strength it got a pretty light body with intense roasty malt aroma and a piece of hop bitterness. Good mixture. --- Beer merged from original tick of Endeavour Double Alt on 09 Aug 2016 at 22:22 - Score: 8

At a tasting, thanks, almost no head, murky lightish brown color, light chocolate and cocoa aroma with vanila and banana hints, flavor of dark fruits, with some chocolate and minerals, medium bitterness, a bit astringent. Interesting.

Many thanks to Beerhunter111 for sharing! Interesting fresh roasted sweetish nose. The beer itself starts malty fruity. The cherries are there, the malty body has nice chocolaty hints. Fresh and highly drinkable. The body is not (very) sweet, the cherries fit in perfectly in the light-bodied malty and subtle bitter malts, hints of cocoa, round and smooth. Like a easy-to-drink black-forest-gâteau. Nice!
