From tap. Pours hazy amber with a small off white head. Toasted malty, slight breadish. Caramelish. Fruity. Light grassy and slight herbal. Dry and bitter finish.

Bottle at Castle Pub. Dark brown color, thin tan head. Roasty, nutty aroma. Taste has roast and subtle dark fruit. Little complexity.

Vom Fass im Kaschk, Berlin. Dunkelbraun, brauner Schaum. Schöner Geruch nach Malz und Grapefruit, was sich im Geschmack bestätigt. Sehr bitter.

Draught at Kaschk. Brownish black with a tan head. Hoppy aroma. Flavor is roast fruit, tangy and spicy. Interesting mix that works, but not in a volume drinking way.

(Draught at Kaschk, Berlin, 18 July 2015) Dark brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty nose with a touch of smoke, pine needles and dark rye bread. Malty, slightly fruity taste with notes of black rye bread, pine needles, grapefruit, some smoke and a balanced piney bitterness. Medium body, quite dry. Tasty and quite interesting with a balanced smoke character, but the combination of smoke and black IPA is probably more interesting than brilliant. Quite nice though.

(Draught at Kaschk, Berlin, 18 July 2015) Hazy orange colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, malty nose with notes of citrus, orange, grapefruit and a touch of resin. Malty, fruity taste with grainy malt, citrus, orange, some resin and a generous citric bitterness in a dry finish. Medium body, quite dry. Fresh and tasty, in my opinion better without the coffee. Nice one.

Malty, fruity taste with notes of coffee, apricots, toasty grain, orange peel and a balanced citric bitterness in a dry finish. Medium body, quite dry. Tasty and interesting, with a fresh coffee character. Quite nice.

Draught at Kaschk. Hazy orange with a solid head. Aroma is mostly coffee. Flavor is powered caramel, dull malt base, a little spice. Finish is a bitter version of the coffee ones left at the end of the Xmas box of chocs.
