0.75l bottle at Pivoteka courtesy of Toto & shared with him, Vran and others. Appears to be a different beer from other Bonne-Espérances, with the label stating it’s Zago’s recipe. And that might explain why this is by far the worst beer I’ve seen ever to come out of Het Anker, one of my favorite breweries ever. Full golden body with a huge, lasting white head. At least it looks good. The aroma is immediately a bit underwhelming. Dry, herbal, notes of pollen, sweetish, malty, vaguely citric and quite meh. Thee taste is dry, empty, vaguely sweetish, malty and chalky. Not a beer I’ll be having again any time soon.
