Hazy dark amber, sediemt, frothy ivory head with good lacing. The aroma is juicy fruity caramel - mostly sweet, hints of pale stone fruit, some spruce resins. The taste is creamy caramel malts with nicely restrained sweetness, creamy body, nicely restrained sugar and fruit sweetness, crisp 60 min alpha acids. Clean, rich, easy drinking. A very good old style malty IPA.

Hazy dullish gold, small white head with some lacing. Aroma is pale stone fruit and white grapes, some pith and gooseberries. Similar taste, moderate fruity sweetness, mouth coating polyphenolic hop bitterness that is a little hard in the palate. Not bad.

BOTTLE 33 CL. Hazy dull amber, off-white head. Smells of overripe peaches, rotten peaches. Dull fruity malts, yeasty, dry mineral bitterness with a hint of aspirin. Below average.

BOTTLE 33 CL from Berero. Murky dull copper, beige head. Caramel and toffee nose, oxidized fruit, stale apple puree. The taste is not that sweet, less caramel, more toate malts, fermenting fruit gone winey, notes of acetone, harsh vegetal and tannic bitterness. Heavily flawed.

BOTTLE 33 CL from Berero. Clear amber, white head. Tart fruity aroma, lemon and lemon pith, but also quite herbal and dank, hint of medicine. A little meaty. Similar taste - lemony and herbal, way over-carbonated - lots of carbonic acid. Not that much passion fruit. Firm piney bitterness. Not bad.

BOTTLE 33 CL. Clear dull amber, sticky off-white head. Smells like sweet white grapes, caramel, but also has notes of cooked vegetables and mashed cereals. The taste is generic pale malts, some citrus and the same off-flavours. Moderate piney bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel. Drinkable, despite the flaws.

JAN-2020. Almost black, clear ruby highlights, dense beige head. Smells of dark sugars and dark fruit with a bit of licorice, medium sweet and minimal roast, a little bit of sweetened drinking cocoa drink. Taste: medium sweet dark roasty malts, a slight fruity sugary note, dry herbal slightly astringent notes and spicy earthy bitterness. Lacks a bit of body and velvet. Overall, quite clean and correct. 3,4/5.

AUG-2017. BOTTLE 33 CL. Opaque dark brown, dark beige head. Smells of coffee grounds, harsh roasty bitterness, cooking chocolate. The taste is even more bleak - severely watered down coffee left overnight, light sour and cheesy notes. Watery mouthfeel. Feels amateurish. 2,6/5.
