Bottled. An unclear dark golden beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of mango, lactose, hops, spices, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of lactose, mango, hops, lemons, and malt, leading to a bitter finish. I'm not a lover of milkshake.

Can 44 cl. Pours a clear, nutty brown with a creamy and lacing beige head. Nice toffee aroma. Surprisingly thin body, toffee, toast and a slight roastiness. Quite a hoppy finish. Delicious. 211221

Can from natholdets julekalender #18 Beer style was hard to figure, i put it in as dubbel, as that is what the brewer decided it was mostly comparable to, when he was interviewed on der er et øldigt land episode sourfeet & aarhus bryghus. clear amber, light brown head. caramelly syruppy aroma, is double ish but it seems to lack a bit of the belgian wildness in the aroma. flavor is light roasted malty, syruppy, rye bread, caramelly to dark caramelly, not chocolate. a little bit bitter nutty. tastes really good, it's like a really good abbey but without the wild spicy notes from the yeast, somehow most of the other flavors is there. Not sure I would be able to place it style wise, but to me, flavor is somewhere between brown ale and belgian dubbel. I like it quite a lot.

Bottle. Pours hazy amber with small off-white head. Clear aroma of malt and fruit, with estery and hoppy touches. Sweetish, fruity (melon?) and malty flavour, with estery notes and bitter touches of hops. Bitter (alcohol) and estey adtertaste with malty and melonlike touches. Warmign alcohol presence. Well, not unreasonable but a little off-fruity.

Bottle, 7.5%. Spicy and dusty aroma, smells a bit of dry cocoa powder. Very dark brown colour, seems unclear. Small light brown head. The flavour is spicy an roasted. Not as sweet as some sweet stouts, or to be more precise, sweet, but balanced by drier spices.

Bottle. Pours cloudy very dark brown with airy tan head. Clear aroma of gingerbread, with notes of malt and fruit and touches of lactose. Spicy flavour of cloves, cinnamon and allspice, with biter, hoppy notes and touches of caramel malt and nuts. Estery and spicy aftertaste with roasty notes. Decent. Certainly, there can be no doubt that it is a Christmas edition of whatever stout the Syndicate wanted to produce.
