Opened with a light gushing. Appearance: Clear deep gold with a small off-white head of zero retention. Aroma: Solid pale malt, candies, walnut, some alcohol. Taste: As described above. Medium sweet, low to light bitterness (not hoppy, rather coming from the alcohol). Mouth feel: Medium plus body, soft carbonation. Overall: Not worth any attention.

Backlog. Seemed to really very fresh and pretty dkinkable. Clean malts, fruity hints, some hop presence. Nothing bothering.

500ml bottle. Pours clear gold with a medium-sized white had that lasts for about a minute. Aroma is malt, grain, faint grassy hops. Taste is malt, cereal, light bitterness. Not bad for a zhigulyovskoye.

Bottle. Brilluant golden pour with big frothy head. Stays as a thin layer on beer surface. The aroma is malt, restrained hops and yeast. Light body. Clean flavour. Relatively dry. Pale malts, spicy hops. Lightly bitter. May be the best zhigelevskoe I’ve ever had.

Bottle. Clear chestnut brown with ruby highlights. Loud beige head deminishes instantly. Malty aroma. Massive caramel, toffee, esters, dried fruit. A hint of acetone. Medium body. Sweet taste. Esters, acetone, dried fruit, alcohol. Everything is a little harsh that is why this porter is not drinkable enough. Still acceptable as a slow sipper.

Bottle. This beer is really reminiscent on my soviet memories. The same soursweet malts as back in the eighties. Low bitterness. Some could be nostalgic about it. Me not.

500ml bottle, about 10 days before the best before date. Pours red-brown with a medium yellowy head. Aroma is roasted malt, alcohol and the sweetness that is characteristic of cheap high alcohol lagers. Taste is sweet and boozy, besides that I can only pick out caramel. Not very drinkable. Not a porter, and not a Baltic porter. A strong tmave or a super strong kvass.
