4oz pour at the Oceanside Taproom of Kilowatt on Sunday 22nd March 2026. Ordered at the same time as their Pickle Beer, this was to help wash that beer down. Hazed golden/yellow body, no head. Sweet fruit cocktail sort of drink, not unpleasant and rather fun, compared to the Pickle Beer.

Slightly opalescent pale golden colour, minimal creamy white head; aroma of pine resiny, grapefruity and maybe some fruity notes; taste of hoppy bitterness, some grapefruity, resiny and lemony notes; good IPA

On tap at Kilowatt, pours a deep dark brown / black with a small tan head. Aroma has plenty of macadamia nut and liquid chocolate dominating, with a touch of vanilla in back. Flavour is very rich, with lots of chocolate and macadamia nut character upfront, accentuated with vanilla and a touch of coconut. Silky, oily palate; not as elegant as some of the best imperial stouts in town but it's well-made.

On tap at Kilowatt, pours a clear blonde, almost no head. Aroma has plenty of tropical stone fruits, sugars and a touch of lacto. Flavour is quite sweet, with light lacto, mineraly notes, and big tropical fruitiness. Too sweet for a Berliner without any of the signature notes of the style. Meh.

On tap at Kilowatt, pours a few dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma has plenty of cocoa, toasted nuts and vanilla — low roast character underneath. Flavour has plenty of vanilla upfront, with macadamia syrupy and a little cocoa. Light-bodied, pleasant construction, but not particularly complex or refined notes. Decent.
