In 2002 werd Jos van Breda 50 jaar. Zijn boezemvriend Bernard Smits gaf hem een brouwcursus cadeau, Beide heren waren al fanatiek lid van de Vereniging Bierproeven in hun woonplaats Moergestel. In 2005 gingen ze commercieel onder de vlag van de Vereniging Pierewaaiers Reuzenbieren.
In december 2010 werd er een BV opgericht. Jos en Bernard vonden nog een partner Martin Op ‘t Hoog. Reuzenbieren B.V. was geboren, genoemd naar het lokale Reuzengilde..

33cl bottle. A slightly hazy golden beer with a huge most good lasting white head. Aroma of mid sweet strong pale malt, grains, mild grassy hops. Taste of grassy and citrusy hops, semi strong pale malt, okay!

Clear dark golden with a small, foamy, white head; little lacing. Aroma of apple, caramel, honey, unripe orange, straw, floral hops, herbs. It tastes medium hoppy bitter, grassy & spicy, and light fruity sweet, hints of apple, even caramel & honey. Dry, bitter, resinous hoppy finish, lingering spice. Medium body, slick texture, soft carbonation. Off-balance, not 'delicate' enough, so unconvincing.

Bottle @ gamenight. Horrible murky weird light amber colour with a medium sized white head. Smells sweet, herbs, unfresh.. Tastes sweet, loads of herbs. Medium body, medium carbo.

Clear pale amber colour, tall frothy off-white to white head, fairly lasting, minimal lacing. Aroma toasted malts, peach, apricot, bread. Taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, light fruity, grainy, iron malty. Harsh sweetbitter aftertaste, grainy, earthy, medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Mixed feelings about this one, hops not very present, toasted malts come in too strong.

330ml bottle. Darkest brown colour with average, firm, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Sweet-ish, chocolately, dark malty and fruity aroma, notes of milk chocolate, hints of red and blue berries, herbal-spicy yeasty overtones, whiffs of alcohol. Taste is sweet-ish dark malty, slightly chocolately, minimally roasty, fruity and minimally spicy, yeasty overtones with hints of red and blue berries, a touch of plum; lingering, sweet-ish, minimally sticky, chocolately finish.

Pours dark, caramelly,clear brown. Smell is biscuit, complex, caramel mild oak, no real bourbon tho, accept foe some sweetness. Taste is sharp, roasty, bit bitter, some oak. Not too much bourbon. Mild booze.

33 cl bottle. Piurs dark brown to black. Small brown head. Aroma is roasted malty, phenolic and breadish. Toasted. Bitter and slight herbal. Overripe fruity. Roasted malt. Slight wooden. Fruity and light phenolic finish. Lasting roasted malt and fruit into the far finish.

Thanks for sharing! Sampled 330 ml. bottle @ Kerstbierfestival 2017. Black, solid mocha head. Nose is plastic, umami, plum, varnish, soap,… Rather fizzy soapy, plastic, chemical, umami, plum & prune, so-so, bit below average.
