Description
Saku Õlletehas was established in 1820, when the owner of Saku manor, Karl Friedrich Rehbinder decided to set up a small brewery at his manor. Documentation has proven that the first brewing period at the Saku beer house took place in October 1820. By 1899, Saku Õlletehas had become the biggest brewery in North Estonia and had built its own railway line between Saku and Tallinn.

Throughout history, quality lager beer and Baltic porter have played a key role in the Saku beer portfolios. These beers have been exported all over the world, from the Russian Empire to the developed beer markets in Europe.

Golden color with vanishing head. Fruity alcoholic nose. Sweet, fruity - like drinking apple juice. In the finish comes alcoholic burn. Oily fruity aftertaste.

Plastic bottle, 2 ltrs
Golden color, small white head. Mild malty and menthol aroma. Malty, alcoholic flavor. Harsh palate with hints of hops. "Bock-like".

Mäger means badger.
Dark honey color, small white head. Light sweet nose. Light to medium bodied, light flavor. Sweet, carbonated mouthfeel. Typical Estonian low-quality beer.

Pink-copper color with a small white head. Sweet apricot (or bitter orange) aroma. Label says: "flavored with dragon grain (=pitaia) and bitter orange". This tastes like plain Saku On Ice with some weak artifical bitter orange flavors added. Beer for non-beer drinkers.

Lager color. Steady white head, lace. Sweet malty/corn nose with notes of metal. Very sweet malty. Crisp mouthfeel, which hides alcohol. Lacks any bitterness.

Lager color, mostly diminishing head. Sweet alcoholic malt aroma. Fruity, alcoholic malt palate - typical for these Baltic strong beers. This is not the worst anyhow, not too fruity. Warming.

Hazy orange. Creamy steady white head, medium-sized. Banana aroma, light leather too. Starts sweet banana taste but turns to crisp, carbonated palate. Refreshing not so sweet weizen.

Typical lager color, white head, lots of carbonation. Aroma is grassy and corns. Watery, light-bodied, only slightly malty. Aftertaste metallic.

Bottled in Tallinn
Dark brown. Quick vanishing tanned head. Sweet aroma. Taste sweet and yeasty. A bit similar to Dark Velkopopovicky.
