Bottle (labelled Cubanero Fuerte from Beers of Europe, UK). Slightly sweet barley malt and grassy hops aroma. Golden yellow with small head. Sweet corn syrup and barley malt flavor - not much body. Good thing they got their cigars going for them.

Can. Pours a clear, pale golden body with a nice white head. Grainy and fruity aroma with a touch of wet cardboard. Grainy flavor with a little hoppy bitterness and some alcohol, leading to a slightly fruity finish. Thin to medium mouthfeel. Indeed boring, but drinkable and unoffensive, probably well suited to slake the thirst on a hot day. (080229)

Bottle. Pours a clear, pale golden with some carbonation going on. Minimal white head. Quite grassy hoppiness in the aroma, with a grainy maltyness. Quite nice, refreshing hoppy flavor with grains in the background. Grassy and not very bitter. Thin and watery on the palate, with a well-hopped finish. For a pale lager that is. Refreshing, nothing more, so I guess it does what it’s intended to. (071215)

Dark golden beer with no visible carbonation, and a medium, just off-white head that doesn’t live not long. Additives, alcohol & chopped parsley. Aggressive, alcoholic feeling, corn and other warm grains flavours. Ends fusel-like, with a metallic edge. Warming up almondy flavour, as more cheap alcohol. Fiery MF, slick & alcoholburn. Malt likker; ’nuff said. Gracias all the same, Dean!

Can brought back from Cuba, from friend Bob Pours clear deep golden colour with medium carbonation and a white head that went quite rapidly. Bit too sweet and grainy flavoured to like but undeterred I happily swigged it all and its fair to say that I’ve had an awful lot worse.
