Bottle from Vormann. Fresh and slightly grainy red-wine nose. The mix starts like a thin and refreshing Dornfelder with hints of grain in the back. Not much bitterness, the wine is dominating the scene. Refreshing and smooth aftertaste, very easy to drink, fruity with sweetish hints, round but not much beer. Interesting!

0.33 l bottle at ’Kötter’s Fritte’, best before June 2017. Clear, dark brown with a thin, soapy, quickly diminishing, beige head. Sweetish, slightly malty aroma of coke, caramel and brown sugar. Very sweet, minimally malty taste of caramel, brown sugar and coke, followed by a short, slightly sourish finish. Thin to medium body, moderately effervescent mouthfeel, average to lively carbonation. Okay, drinkable.

Geringe Karbonisierung.

(bottle) Clear, golden colour with a blond and medium-sized foamy head. Buttery malty aroma with mildly bready notes, hints of caramel, onions and shades of woody hops. Moderately sweet and slightly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a medium carbonation. Slightly buttery, “oxidised” malty base with notes of bread, caramel and herbal, slightly woody hops in the background; moderately sweet, slightly buttery malty and cautious hop bitter, slightly woody finish. Tastes like a more or less successful Světlý interpretation. 05.IX.16

Malzig-mild, sehr frisch. Karamell, moderate Süße, ein Hauch Getreide. Sehr mild weich, süffig mit karamellier und nicht zu süßer Spritzigkeit. Milde Herbe, sehr weich mit mild-muffiger Hefe.

Gourmet-Flasche: Golden, hazy, small, stable off-white head; mild fruity-yeasty nose, presumably traces of Weizen detectable, delicate waves of vinous alcohol in the background; sweetish flavour with a certain acidity, medium bodied; gets drier and more "vinous" towards the fruity-sourish finish, typical vinous tartness in the aftertaste. Why didn’t they add a nice german Riesling, for example Hochheimer Hölle GG trocken by Franz Künstler....

Bottle from the brewery. Smooth mild beginning. Very dry with hints of yeast. The wine is fruity in the back, getting more intense in the main part. Fruity winey with soft yeasty Weizen in the body. Dry but not my drink.

0.33 l bottle from ’Vormann Brauerei’, best before December 2021. Hazy, brownish golden with a thin, soapy, white layer. Sweetish, moderately sourish-fruity and a bit yeasty-spicy aroma of banana, clove, white wine and gooseberry. Sweetish, moderately sourish-fruity and a bit yeasty-spicy taste of banana, white wine, gooseberry, some clove and a touch of honey, followed by a short, minimally bitter, slightly tart and a bit dry finish. Thin to medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Good balance between beer and wine, less winey than the red wine version at least, and the Weizen comes still through. Overall quite interesting, but it’s difficult to say which version I liked better.
