(bottle) Dark and murky orange colour with a big frothy slightly off-white head. Dusty grape fruit aroma with yeasts. Lighter body, soft malty flavour and taste with a nice citrus fruitiness and a crispy but short finish.

(bottle) This one is a very well quaffable brew, but rather uncommon for an Alt. It reminds me a little bit of the Stiefel-Jürgens Ur-Alt from Beckum, Westphalia. Reddish amber colour with a small tanned head. Fruity aroma of bananas and caramellish malts. Sweet and malty start, followed by a dry roastmalty finish with fruity undertones.

Bottle: Straw golden colour with a thin white foamy layer, quickly vanishing; malty, bready nose (cookies), weak sweetish malty beginning, malty flavour drying out into a short, tart finish, only a tinge of hops and some unpleasant metallic notes. No glory......

(bottle) Clear golden colour with a white frothy head, quite lasting. Very malty aroma, almost corny, with a slight hint of grassy hops and honey. Initially sweet malty with a slight hoppy unbalanced finish. Not really bad, but definitely not really good !

Bottle: Dark brown colour with a brownish, lasting head; bigger sweet, malty nose (caramel) with some traces of Yeast, hops and a tinge of sourness; heavy sweet, caramel beginning, sweet, caramel taste with a tinge of hops turning into a bitter-sweet aftertaste; very full-bodied for a brew of this low alcoholic strength, well rounded; far better than most of the low-alcohol "beers"; the right stuff if You are not allowed to get drunk.....I like it !

(refilled bottle) Pale golden colour with almost no head (due to be refilled by pivnizub - thank you bro!). Very floral hoppy, yeasty, fruity (old oranges, bananas) aroma. Medium bitter flavour. Light to medium body, malty taste with hoppy finish with elements of honey. Truly nice, although it was not fresh filled.

Bottle: Amber coloured, cloudy, firm, lasting white head; fruity nose (bananas, citrus, yeast) with some notes of alcohol and malt; fizzy, begins very smooth, light to medium bodied, the fruity taste ends in a sourish finish. Not bad, lacks a bit a fuller body......

Great swing -top "bottle(filled directly from the conditioning tanks at the brewery): Pale golden, unfiltered, hazy, enormous white rocky head, long lasting;fresh fruity (citrus) and yeasty nose, some bitterness in the back; smooth beginning, only small hints of sweetness, the light, creamy taste of yeast and malts ends in a slight bitter (a bit tart) finish. Not bad, quaffable, well rounded.

Bottle: Dark amber coloured, medium off-white head, lasting; fruity, yeasty nose with an aroma of roasted malts from far behind...; fruiity beginning, very smooth, yeast and caramel notes in the background; the yeasty taste dominates until the short bitter-fruity finish; very unusual interpretation of the "Duesseldorf"-Alt-style, but well quaffable......

Rerate as Herdecken Brunnengold. Nutty roast, light oxidized, herbal hops. Medium full mellow body, roast, caramel, big malty notes, fitting hop counter point, quite pleasant. Old rating: 5 4 5 2 11Bottle
Hazy amber, low creamy head. Tofee and dusty metallic bitterhop aroma. Caramelly and somewhat dusty notes - somehow reminds me of bottled british beer. Fairly lightbodied. Thanks to Dortmunder for this one.
