Deep gold to amber with a frothy, white head. Aroma promises dry grains, caramel, apples. Mildly bitter throughout. Simple. Had this after a visit to Zwølf, and a change to this style after a flight of tropical ipas is always a challenge, so perhaps I didn’t give it it’s due. Was also distracted by the food at Daniel, which by the way, was good.

On tap at the brewpub. A clear amber beer with a beige head. Aroma of mild caramelized malt, gently sweet malt, grains. Taste of moderate sweet grainy and caramelized malt, hints of honey.
