Pours clear deep gold into a tulip. Bright white head with excellent retention recedes leaving scant sheets. Pine and resin aromas. Thick with hot caramel and toffee upfront turning to resin and pine in the warm, lasting sweet honey finish. Nice west coast throwback, but a little sweet.

Can pour into nonic pint glass. Appearance is deeply hazy yellow-light brown with trace carbonation, 2-finger off-white foamy head with decent retention and trace lacing. Aroma is strong citrus and more moderate tropical fruit, hint of earthy herb. Taste is dank wet grass, more muted citrus. Palate is medium side of light-to-medium bodied with smooth texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste with lingering danky bitterness. Overall, I'm not sure this is really a NEIPA. Their website doesn't classify it as such and, though the look and aroma are consistent with it, the taste does not. And, they were making this long before NEIPA became a thing. That being said, aroma is tropical, citrusy elements that doesn't translate to the taste (where I'd want it to be). Tastes like a good, but fairly standard, old school IPA.
