4 oz. draft at Extreme Beer Fest, 3 Feb, 2018. 11 % Aroma is earthy with scotch hints, toffee, mild oaky barrel. Flavors shows alcohol just a tad, good smoky scotch, big wood, ashy hints. Slick over the palate. Nice change from the majority of the beers here tonight.

Can pour into shaker pint glass. Appearance is hazy, dark yellow with mild sparkle, finger-width off-white foamy head. Aroma is initial dominant floral-fruity mix, with background malts and resin. Taste is early fruity-floral mix while toward the end more grapefruit and pine, light resin. Palate is light-to-medium with thin texture, soft-to-average carbonation and mild bittersweet finish as late taste of grapefruit/pine. Overall, well balanced and not overly bitter. Nice complexity. It changed character from initial floral nature as the beer warmed.

Pours hazy deep gold into a shaker. Bright white head with medium retention recedes to skim surface. Melon and resin aromas. Soft with overripe summer pit fruit upfront turning to earthy resin in the medium length finish.

Pours a hazy, mustard-yellow, with mid-sized, lasting head. Aroma has some grass, some hop-pine/spruce, some citrus. Flavor is citrus and lots of pine/spruce hops. Fairly bitter for a beer with "fuzzy baby ducks" in the name--guess I was expecting something a bit more soft? It isn't bad, but not as good as I was expecting.
