(Bottle 50) Beautiful amber colour, slightly hazy, almost no head. Malty with notes of caramel. Very light-bodied and a very subdued bitterness. This doesn’t even come close to a typical German Dunkel (although I suspect it’s been brewed at Harboe’s German enterprise in Dargun). Rather flat - as most beers in plastic. They really lose their carbonation way too fast. 240105

(Bottle 50 cl) Fully golden with a slightly hazy, greyish touch. Fine, small head that collapses quickly though. Bready smell (rye and sourdough) and you get the same off notes in the flavours which are rather weird and rustic. Strange brew indeed. 261004

330 ml can, called "Premium Dunkel", but must be the same beer. ABV is the same. Adding "premium" to the name of most of their beers will not hide the fact that Harboe is one of the least interesting discount breweries in Northern Europe. Brown colour, very thin for a dunkel. Decent head. Moderate malty aroma. Flavour has a very moderate maltiness, very thin and slightly metallic mouthfeel. Another poor brew from Harboe.

(Bottle 33 cl) 4,8% ABV in this version. Pale golden (in spite of added colourant!), small head but lots of carbonation. No real traces of malt, just a faint, bitter finish. Very poor. 250702
