About
The brewing company of the Montseny was born with the desire to provide a craft beer of the highest quality: our beers are handcrafted and natural. We are a microbrewery with a productive capacity of 3.000 litres in each development. Through the system of English traditional elaboration (with maceration by the method of simple infusion), the production process is virtually manual. Because of these unique features of elaboration, handcrafted beers are produced. In the brewing of the Montseny we bottle natural beers and unpasteurised. The carbonic gas is generated naturally by the yeast that is contained in the bottle. We can say that they are living beers that evolve over time. The alcoholic fermentation is a traditional way to food processing to lengthen their preservation allows us to not add any artificial preservative to the beer. Our microbrewery specialises in beers of the family of the Ales or high fermentation, unlike the majority of the national productions, which are of the family of the Lager or bottom-fermented. It is recommended to drink our beers, if well fresh, less cold than the Lager.

Oily pitch black Smells like straight liquor...like amaretto or disarronno. Like should I be adding coke to this? Flavor..same loads of Irish whiskey, amaretto and shoe polish finish. Vanilla but like a ton of imitation vanilla at the finish.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours an opaque, dark, nutty brown with next to no head. Sweet and caramellish nose, toffee, and a metallic note. Rich, malty body, almost flat, again caramel and nuts. Somewhere between an Amber and a Brown. 041218

can 33 cl. Pours a clear, nutty brown with a tiny, rough off-white head. delicious, nutty nose - toffeeish. Rich, sweet, sugary body - almost flat. Again loads of nuts and burned sugar and rock candy. Some late, warming alcohol. Kinda old school British Barley Wine with the flat carbonation and a subdued bitterness. Rustic, but I like it. 031218

4 oz. draft at York River Landing. The aroma is bold brandy, mild vanilla, and brown sugar. Flavor is delicious. Vanilla with brandy marries well. Body seem to have thinned a tad but the flavor is great. Bolder warming after the sip.

06.11.2018 -- 0.33l bottle from sorli in barcelona, bb 16.06.2019. pours a hazy pale golden with a frothy head. aroma of peaches, sweet fruits, quite sweet, actually. flavour of peaches, yeast, grapefruit. zesty bittersweet finish; despite the sweetness it is not very malty. drinkable but weird for an apa, more like a wheat beer.
